The FANtastic Horror Film Festival chooses as its next Official Selection for their 2015 Season, Paolo Del Fiol’s Horror Short, – KOKESHI.

SYNOPSIS:  A woman (we never learn her name) was born with a disorder that renders her unable to feel pain. People tell her she is lucky, but she disagrees; from the time she is a child, she spends all her time attempting to make up for the loss of this sensation – by kidnapping and torturing young women. One day, she and her male apprentice choose the wrong woman – a Japanese art student who wills her soul into a kokeshi doll, then returns to take revenge for her death during a children’s game.

Trivia:   KOKESHI may be organized around a child’s game, and it may use dolls to tell the story – but it is a half-hour of non-stop, violent, gory torture. It is beautifully, almost lyrically, filmed, but it may not be for everyone. McCabria Darque, Horror House Party
